How do we know what our instrument is worth?

We will help you determine the value of your instrument based on a current market analysis of your product. We will provide you with three values, the estimated value if you were looking to add the instrument to your insurance policy, the current market value range in which the item will most likely sell for, and our offer price which will include shipping reimbursement for your item.

How do you determine your purchase price?

We use current sales prices and recent sales estimates (comps) similar to what realtors use in determining the estimated insurance value, and the current market value. Once we determine what the instrument could potentially sell for, we then determine the additional amount wrelatorsd to invest into the instrument to get it ready for sale, and make our offer to you based on the margin needed in order to maintin a good ROI. (return of investment)

How long does it take for me to get my payment?

We have several payment options available. We can send you a payment through PayPal before you ship your instrument. For check payments or payments through Venmo or CashApp, your payment will be processed once your item has been verified, which is generally within 48 hours of receiving the instrument.

How do I get my instrument to you?

In some instances, we can pick up your instrument at a location you request, or we can arrange a drop off location where you can bring your instrument and they will pack it and ship it to us for you.

Depending on the size of the instrument, you can often find a box to use at your local grocery store for free, or you can purchase a box at a local office supply store or even moving/storage facility. Make sure the box is large enough to leave a few inches around the instrument for padding (crumpled balls of newspaper work well) and secure the instrument and any accessories inside the case as well using crumpled newspaper, bubble wrap, or foam peanuts. Use strong packing tape to secure the box closed, and drop it off at your local Post Office

We have fast saxophone evaluations, same day payments through Paypal, and will send you a prepaid shipping label if we cannot pick the instrument up in person. We want to make you a fair offer for your saxophone, no matter the shape, no matter the condition. We have been buying and restoring saxophones professionally since 2007, and we understand the market better than most in our industry.

“Can you help tell me the value of my saxophone?”

We have developed inhouse a system that gives us a Current Instrument Market Analysis on your saxophone, trumpet, flute, clarinet, or whatever musical instrument you are looking to sell. We look at the overall condition to determine current sales prices and recent sales estimates (comps) similar to what realtors use in determining the estimated value, and the current market value. Once we determine what the instrument could potentially sell for, we then determine the additional amount needed to invest into the instrument to get it ready for sale, and make our offer to you based on the margin needed in order to maintain a good ROI. Our offer prices are fair, and our offers and payment are fast (many times the same day through Paypal), which takes the hassle out of you having to go through the entire process of listing your instrument for sale on your own.

There are many factors to consider when determining the value a saxophone or other musical instrument. The ‘Value Guides” do help get you in the ballpark many times, but they are very general, and sometimes, very outdated. We want to help give you a “Current Market Value” based on information available to us today, not something that may have been written or put together online 5-15 years ago.

Let Cash4Sax help you determine the value of your saxophone before you decide to sell it! Use our easy Instrument Evaluation form below to tell us a little more about your instrument. The more you tell us, the better we can help you.

The appraisals (Selmer Paris Series III Soprano, 1968 Selmer Paris Mark VI Baritone, and 1965 Selmer Paris Mark VI Alto) are just what I need for my insurance company. I really appreciate you providing this service. I was pleasantly surprised at the value of the alto! Thank you and God Bless.

Thank you for helping me sell my cherished King Super 20 Silver Sonic Tenor. I really didn’t want to sell it, but since I wasn’t playing it I knew it was time to get it into the hands of someone who could appreciate it. Thank you again for everything you’ve done!
